Relationships between environmental conditions and fish assemblages in the Lohore River of Dailekh, Western Nepal

The Lohore River is one of the important riverine ecosystems Dailekh which support diverse aquatic communities. present study was carried out to assess fish diversity status with relation environmental conditions in both space and time. survey conducted at three different sampling stations seasons. For sampling, two cast nets mesh sizes were used, having large size 2 cm, 6 m diameter kg weight another 0.5 3 weight. Moreover, drag net gill also used collect samples. A total 11 species belonging orders, families 7 genera. Results from similarity percentage analysis (SIMPER) suggested that Puntius gelius, Schizothorax plagiostomus, Tor chelynoides Schistura sovana major contributing each contribute more than 9%. An (ANOSIM) pointed community structure differ spatial scale (p<0.01) but not temporal (P>0.01). Water temperature, dissolved oxygen water velocity found as influential factors for distribution.
